portfolio.

Over easter i've been working on my portfolio so I thought i'd show you some of the boards so far some still need altering and re-working to give them that extra something special, i was thinking on some of these boards to hand finish them with clear quartz crystals to give them that last finishing touch. this will depend on how much time i have before hand in.

As it turned out i didn't have that much spare time on hand in day so none of my boards had clear quartz crystals added to them :( however i was proud of what i handed in, yet i think that some boards could still do with tweaking but when its your own work you could tweak forever as you'll never be fully happy with layouts or colour. I feel that the work i produced showed off my collection and theme to the best of my ability at this point in time and i am hoping my grade shows how hard i worked on the portfolio and the file of evidence.

Collection.

 Stephanie dress ( above)  is now being called the ALICE DRESS as thats what everyone seems to call it anyway. So it makes more sense to change the name to stop confusion. Im glad to say after battling with the cuffs for most of the morning today this dress 95% complete with only the buttons and some hand sewing of crystals to make it fully completed!! i'm going to bring it home this week to hand sew the crystals, then i will need guidance from Bruce to help me create the button holes as i have never used this machine before, but ill keep you informed with how that goes!! In the images above i have shown where the corset will be thanks to the help of hannah's black corset, the corset for this outfit is in white and will be embellished with clear quarts on the front 4 panels, with bleached white stingray leather covering the back 4 panels. I'll post an image once the corset is complete.

The two images above show the cape and trousers from the Robyn outfit. The cape is being hand finished as you read this with a line of clear quarts crystals lining the scolloped edge, The trousers need to be fitted before I attach the zip,waist band and hem them, I don't want to ruin the fit by altering these later on. I will aim to get them fitted this weekend then I can finish the trousers next week. leaving only the leotard to be manufactured to complete this outfit.

So far i think I'm on track to have all my garments finished in time to hand in however as soon as i have ordered and collected the 120 meters of netting then I am going to start go into uni on a monday, as  nearly all of the netting needs to be cut to size and gathered down to the right lengths to create the 2 skirts and 1 underskirt.

Summer jewls

Been skimming through pintetest and tumblr and found some amazing hand made jewellery for summer!

If you know me you will have guessed they are made from healing crystals in their raw form or slightly polished, they are my new summer love, I need to get my hands on one of these or make one myself ...

Make up. 2 + 3

 make up idea 2: I wanted to try and create a wispy whimsical look however I don't think my skills give this look any justice. If i was to use this look i think it needs something to make it pop as it looks to soft at the moment maybe a think black under liner to give the eyes some definition.

make up idea 3: This look is a lot harsher then the previous idea it has clean sleek lines that follow the contour of the eyes and nose. i will not be using this idea i don't like how it cuts the face into sections

If I could find some make up company to come and do my make up for the fashion show at a cheap price I would welcome them with open arms, as it would relieve me from worrying about one more thing.

fundraising.

So far we have raised about £1524.14 this is only a quarter of what we need to raise however we have £4500 from the sales of tickets last year. so far thats £6024.14 we still need to raise another £1500 to cover the cost of everything, however this year we are trying to lower some of the costs by doing things ourself like bringing wine in or making the table decorations/ reusing the cake stands from last year this alone will save about £100 alone just using the cake stands again.

coming up we have more bag packs and a sponsored run/walk as well as our little project, which consists of making and selling tees, skirts and bandeaus. we will probably have more fancy dress days and fun days to come to, and if the weather stays nice we could hold a car wash.

on going atm we have a raffle for some body care and bath care items i am also putting together an email to send out to large well known brands for anything that we can raffle off eg, bags, jewellery or accessories.

make up idea 1

This make up is my first makeup idea for my professional fashion photo shoot. I went for an editorial style it harsh drawn on eyebrows and matching eyes and lips, i believe the addition of the white out contact lenses finished the look off. I also covered my lashes in white. For this look I used classic colours snazaroo face and body paint in white and black. when ive created more looks ill post them on here. please give feedback to help me chose what look to go for .

cake sale.

On the last days of term me and Sarah Barron made cakes to sell, we did everything our selves, event buying the ingredients.. however we have to admit we did buy the wrong flour at first it was lucky i had some of the right flour at home otherwise our cakes would not have risen in the oven and would look more like biscuits!! we made two types of cake little fairy cup cakes and large chocolate crispy nests with mini eggs. all together i think we made around £8 which doesn't cover the cost of making them but its fine we gave the money into the fashion fund 2012. the following pics are proof that we made them ourselves with a little help from my friend when it came to smashing up the chocolate ...
